On Thursday, Grace and I spent some quality time alone on her new quilt. I’m not quite done quilting, but I couldn’t wait to show it to her. She was a little fussy until I set her on it…then she was very entertained!
The quilt is made with modified Log Cabin blocks, each pieced around a central square from a variety of Lilly Pulitzer print fabrics. I started piecing right after returning from a 3-week stay in Florida, which no doubt influenced the color palette: yellow, green, orange. It’s a little larger than most baby quilts…I envision her having picnics on it someday.
