After a quiet Sunday with lots of time to bead in my favorite chair, this pile of beads is really starting to look like a doll! So far there are 3 pieces, 2 legs and a skirt. All 3 pieces are now connected into one form. I think the skirt wants more fringe, which will probably drop like a petticoat …
Another doll forming
Working in tubular peyote stitch, this doll is coming in to being from the toes up. I’m working from left-over bead soup, mostly size 11 beads. The legs may need to get taller…I’m not sure yet. I’ve started her skirt and mid-body on the silver snowflake finding at right.
Joyful Heart
This is a crazy-quilt piece that I embellished with bead embroidery. I did this piece about 2 years ago, and it has since been waiting for inspiration on it’s next step. I showed it to 3-month old Grace and she was very excited by it. Maybe it’s time to move this piece on to the next step.
