The Headless Doll

I had no intention of making her headless…i had no intention of making her at all. I was experimenting with peyote-stitch tubes, and I thought it looked like a leg. She just sort of grew from there…until I got up to her neck. I liked her so much, I didn’t want to ruin her with some dorky looking face. And so, I have been considering her ever since.

I used a metal snowflake stamping as the starting point for the peyote-stitch tube that forms her body. Then I tied the legs to the snowflake underneath. Her fringed skirt hides the intersection.

In case she needs a hat once she gets a head…
